Sermon Overview:

In week two of our Philippians series, we looked at Philippians 1:3–7 and saw Paul’s settled joy—even from prison—spring from three things: a grateful heart, a remembered story of God’s work in Philippi (Acts 16: Lydia, the jailer, a church born), and a deep partnership in the gospel.

Paul celebrates a shared, all-in commitment—more than casual fellowship; it’s shoulder-to-shoulder labor that cleans up messes, bears burdens, and advances the good news together. His confidence isn’t in people never failing, but in God, who “began a good work” and will bring it to completion in Christ. The call to us is clear: become partners in the gospel, let the gospel drive our attitudes and choices, and actively link arms to impact others for Jesus.
